Boateng, Sannu on target as 10-man Mukura end Police FC’s unbeaten run

Ghanaian forward Agyenim Boateng Mensah and substitute Bonheur Sannu scored in either half to condemn Police FC to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Mukura Victory Sports at Huye Stadium on Thursday, November 7.

The win brought Police FC’s seven-match unbeaten run to an end in the Rwanda Premier League.

Afahmia Lotfi opted for a 3-5-2 formation using Zuberi Hakizimana and Obed Uwumukiza as wingbacks with Boateng Mensah and Emmanuel Nsabimana leading the attack.

Meanwhile, Vincent Mashami played a 4-2-3-1formation with captain Muhadjiri Hakizimana playing behind lone striker Peter Agblevor.

The home side dominated the game from the early stages with Fred Niyonizeye and Jordan Dimbumba pulling the strings from midfield.

Mukura played the final 6 minutes of the game with 10 men but held to register three points which saw them climb to seventh on the table with 13 points.

Police FC were pegged to their own half as they couldn&039;t move forward. The home side’s back three marshaled around Abdul Jalilu who put the brakes on Agblevor.

Mukura VS shot ahead in the 42nd minute through Boateng Mensah. It was his fourth league goal in the 8 games he has played this season. He now leads the scoring charts and is level on goals with Amagaju's Seraphin Kiza despite playing fewer games.

The second half saw Mukura continuing their dominance as Lofti brought on Sannu Bonheur for Emmanuel Nsabimana in the 68th minute. The Congolese striker made it 2-0 for Mukura in the 82nd minute but was sent off moments later for a second bookable offense as he removed his jersey while celebrating.
