The highly anticipated KISS Summer Awards 2022 gala is finally going down today, October 30, with various prizes for winners at stake.

Organised annually by local entertainment radio station, KISS FM, the awards recognise outstanding music artistes whose works have made a difference throughout the calendar year.

They also seek to honor those who have been instrumental in changing Rwanda’s music space throughout the summer period.

The award-giving gala comes to the stage at Norrsken Kigali after weeks of voting for people's favorites in various categories being contested for.

This year's edition, the fifth of its kind, will see invitees walk on red carpet and have photoshoots with KISS FM radio hosts Jeanne D'Arc and Antoinette Niyongira.

On the other side, awards hosts Sandrine Isheja and her former co-host Arthur Nkusi will be welcoming guests to the venue from the stage.

Nominees will be recognised in seven categories namely ‘Best Artiste, Best Producer, Best New Artiste, Best Female Artiste, Best Song, Best Album and the Life Time Achievement award.

Artistes have over the weeks been mobilizing and gambling for votes from their supporters until the voting session closed Sunday, October 30 at 00:00 am.

Only invited guests will be allowed to attend the award giving ceremony.
