Vision FC vs APR FC (Kigali Pele Stadium)

Kick-off: 6PM

Vision FC will take on APR FC at Kigali Pele Stadium on Thursday, November 7, in what will be Abdul Mbarushimana’s first match since his appointment as club head coach.

The former AS Muhanga succeeded Calum Shaun Selby who was sacked on October 25, due to a string of poor results.

Prior to APR test, Mbarushimana told Times Sport that his players have gained a great deal of confidence and are raring to go ahead of the game.

"They cannot be more confident. We are looking forward to the match with optimism, we have had good preparations and I believe we will give it our best shot,” he said.

Mbarushimana, who is back in the top division, will coach Vision FC for the remainder of the season. His employers will decide on extending his deal based on how the club will perform.

Commenting on upcoming match against APR FC, he said, "We don’t take anyone for granted, but neither are we intimidated by them. We are not worried of an opponent and we have to be ready for the game,” he said.

"It is important to start with a good team like APR FC, because they are always favorite to win the league. If you look at the games they have played, we are in a good position to fight against them. It's not easy but though,”

Mbarushimana previously coached AS Muhanga in the second division, Rayon Sports, Etoile de l'Est and Bugesera FC among others.

Vision FC currently sit in 15th place with 5 points from eight games.
