Gasogi United president and proprietor Charles Nkuriza Kakoza (KNC) has confirmed that his club has reached an agreement to sign defender Emery Bayisenge.

KNC made the development after his side beat Kiyovu SC 4-3 in a Rwanda Premier League thriller held at Kigali Pele Stadium on Tuesday, November 5.

Bayisenge, 30, has been without a club since parting ways with Kenyan outfit Gor Mahia when his contract expired at the end of the season.

KNC said that Bayisenge’s arrival will play an impact in adjusting defensive mistakes that almost cost his club the result against Kiyovu.

"I think the defensive department needs some reinforcements and we&039;re going to add a player who can help us achieve something because of his experience and it is no secret that that player is Emery Bayisenge," KNC told the press in a post-match interview.

Besides Gor Mahia, Bayisenge also played for APR and AS Kigali in Rwanda, KAC de Kenitra of Morocco and USM Alger in Algeria between 2016 and 2018.
