Films are incredible stories made for us to enjoy. Films help us to learn by adding to our knowledge about different people and their surroundings.

Every film we watch has valuable lessons that children can learn from. Today we will revisit the best children movie of all time, "Lion King”

Lion King is a movie that I watched when I was still a child and I hold values that I learnt from it today.

The movie is about a young lion cub Simba who is the heir of a large animal kingdom.

Simba’s uncle Scar is jealous of him and wants to take over the throne.

Scar kills his brother, Mufasa, the king, and manages to convince Simba that he was responsible for his father’s death.

Simba runs far away into a jungle because he feels guilty for his father’s death. Simba vows never to return to the animal kingdom.

While in a distant land he meets Timone and Pumba who are different from him.

They introduce him to a carefree life.
However, after a long time Simba’s friend encourages him to go back and defend his father’s kingdom.

Simba is forced to confront his fears. He took over his uncle Scar and got back his throne. Simba became the rightful king.

This is a story of a lion that teaches children about life. Just like Simba, children are always looking for identity.

Our identity can be destroyed by bad people like Scar who make us feel worthless.

The movie shows us the importance of our family and friends. Simba’s relationship with Timone and Pumba shows us the importance of our friends and the need to help each other in times of trouble.

The story also shows us a time when Simba had no responsibility but when he grows up, he had to return home and to do what he was born to do.

Like Simba our lives are not always perfect. When we make mistakes and learn from them, then we can achieve our dreams in life.
