The pair, also teammates in the national team, won the competition after beating Police’s Francoise Yankurije and Ariane Nirere 2-0 (21-17 and 21-14) in the final.
Rwanda Revenue Authority’s Elizabeth Ukpabi and Irene Mpeti secured a third place finish after beating Sharon Amito and Gaoleseletse Lizzy Gasekgonwe of APR 2-1 in the third place match.
In men’s category, Olivier Ntagengwa and Venuste Gatsinzi won the trophy after beating Paul Akan and Prince Kanamugire of APR in two sets 21-18, 21-17 in the final while Nzirimo Mandela and Levis Niyikiza overcame Patrick Akumuntu Kavaro and Gloire Niyonkuru in a three-set thriller 21-18, 11-21, 15-11 to claim the third place.
The national volleyball tour was taking place for the first time since 2021. The competition faced setbacks that resulted from sanctions slapped on the federation during the 2021 Women's Volleyball African Nations Championship.
The next edition of the tour is scheduled for January 3-5 and the third one from June 16-18.
