All roads will Sunday, November 3, lead to Lemigo Hotel which will host Christus Regnat’s ‘I Bweranganzo’ charity concert.
The choir initiated the concert to support ‘Dusangire Lunch’ campaign which is aimed at encouraging parents and communities to contribute to school feeding programme.
Christus Regnat member Alice La Douce Nyaruhirira told The New Times that the choir decided to support the campaign after realising that some students at Catholic school, Ecole Secondaire Saint Joseph le Travailleur (ESSJT), were struggling to afford meals and other school supplies.
The choir picked the school as the very first beneficiary from their support because it normally hosts their routine rehearsals but Nyaruhirira promised that they will extend it to other schools.
"We scheduled the charity concert at a small space to minimize expenses so that we can get something tangible to give to the students. We also hope to get sponsors for the concert as it will be held annually,” said Nyaruhirira.
