Amavubi came back from a 1-0 first leg defeat to beat Djibouti 3-0 at Amahoro Stadium in the return fixture on Thursday, to advance to the next ultimate phase of the qualifiers.
"I am very happy with the performance. We tried to press them from the beginning; lots of things went well. We could have scored more goals,” he said.
On why he made five changes to the team which lost 1-0 in the first leg, Spittler mentioned that it was necessary to bring in new players to make the team better.

"If you lose a match, you want to change something,” he noted.
During the ultimate phase of the qualifiers, Rwanda will face the winner of the game between South Sudan and Kenya.
A triumph for Rwanda in the two-legged tie will mean qualification to the CHAN 2025 tournament slated to take place in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania in January 2025.
