CHAN 2025: Dushimimana says goals against Djibouti are “best” of his career

Amavubi forward Olivier Dushimimana was full of delight after scoring two goals in Rwanda’s 3-0 victory over Djibouti on Thursday, October 31.

"We played a good game and we are happy to reach the next level. We still have a lot to do as we have another game to play to reach the final tournament,” he said.

He described his two goals as "the best" he has scored in his career, noting that he is happy to score for his country.

"Our first target was to win the match but we also wanted to play good football. In this game, we have achieved that,” he said.

Rwanda will face the winner between Kenya and South Sudan in the final round which will decide who will qualify for CHAN 2025. The tournament will be held in Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania in January 2025.
