Tickets for the scheduled Charity game between the All-stars and Amavubi are on sale. The tickets worth Rwf. 2000 and Rwf. 6000 are being sold at Rwandatel offices in Biryogo, Nyamirambo, Kisementi and Nyabugogo.
VIP tickets worth Rwf. 15,000, Rwf.50, 000 and Rwf. 100,000 can be found at Rwandatel offices at Union Trade Center (UTC) and Laico Umubano hotel.
Samuel Eto’o, Didier Drogba and Alexandre Song are some of the players on the All-Star team which jets in this Sunday.
The Charity game is aimed at supporting the ‘One Dollar Campaign’ for survivors of the 1994 genocide against Tutsi.
Other players on the All Star team include; Yaya Toure (Barcelona), Rigobert Song (Galatasaray), Kolo Toure (Arsenal), Salomon Kalou (Chelsea), Geremi Njitap (Newcastle United), Idriss Kameni (Espanyol), Boubacar Sanogo (Werder Bremen) and Emmanuel Eboue (Arsenal).
The ‘One Dollar Campaign’ for genocide survivors is a project developed by the Rwandese Diaspora community aimed at improving the condition and social welfare of the vulnerable genocide survivors.
During the three-day tour, the stars will also pay a courtesy call to President Paul Kagame before paying visits to the Kigali Genocide memorial site and orphanage centers in Kigali.
Kagame has footed the team’s travel costs to and fro.
