APR proved that they have no intentions of relinquishing their women league trophy after a 9-0 rout over minnows Les Lionnes on Wednesday.

It was the second 9-0 score line for the champions in as many games following a similar battering against Rayon Sport two weeks ago.

Claire Ngeneye scored four; Gloriose Uwimana had a hat-trick while Emeryne Mwiza and Anatholie Kayitesi scored a goal each to set their side cruising and give APR coach Egidia Kayitesi reason to believe that her side has the edge over AS Kigali.

"The team is in good form. We have scored 18 goals in two consecutive matches,” she said. "I’m sure most of the clubs are now afraid to play us which works in our favour.”

After Wednesday’s win, APR moved to 25 points, two ahead of AS Kigali and Musanze who are jointly tied in second place although AS Kigali have a game in hand against  Aspej.
