Players Abroad: Mugisha, Kwizera on target as Bizimana shines in Kryvbas win

It was a good weekend for Rwandan players abroad as a number of them continued to make their mark at their respective clubs.

Midfield anchor Bonheur Mugisha and Jojea Kwizera were both on the scoring sheet for their respective clubs while Djihad Bizimana, Samuel Gueulette, Phanuel Kavita also stood out for their teams.

England

Kamari Doyle saw 69 minutes of action at the John Smith&039;s Stadium before being replaced by Edward Smith as his club Exeter City lost 2-0 to Huddersfield Town in the English League 1 on Saturday, October 26.

In the League 2, centre back Harvey Araujo featured 46 minutes for Chesterfield who thrashed Morecambe 5-2 at the Mazuma Mobile Stadium.

Elsewhere, Collins Kagame was not in the match day squad for Hyde United who drew 2-2 against Lancaster in the 6th tier league.

Sweden

Lague Byiringiro replaced Ghanaian forward Mohammed Abubakari in the 84th minute as his side Sandviken IF drew 2-2 with Helsingborg on Saturday in the Swedish Superettan League.

In the same division, Rafael York played full throttle for Gefle IF who lost 1-0 to Trelleborgs.

Centre back Torre Rafael was an unused substitute for Orebro Syrianka who lost 1-0 to Assyriska in the Etan Norra League.

Kaleleo Wimbabazi was also an unused substitute for Pitea IF who lost 2-1 to AFC Eskilstuna on Sunday.

Norway

Beltran Mvuka Nishimwe watched the entire game from the bench as his club Sandefjord continued their revival in the Eliteserien League, beating KFUM 2-1 on Sunday.

Attacker Josias King Furaha played full throttle for FK Jerv who defeated KVIK Halden 3-2 to maintain their second place position on the Norwegian third tier league table.

Goalkeeper Clement Twizere Buhake was in the posts when his side Ull/Kisa lost 1-0 to Skied on match day 26 of the Norwegian third tier league.

Midfielder Emmannuel Baru Gisa played the entire game for Pors who beat Sola 3-2 in the Norwegian fourth tier league.

Denmark

Meanwhile, Sanders Ngabo was an unused substitute for AC Horsens who lost 2-0 to Hillerod in the Danish second tier.

Netherlands

Winger Noam Emeran was not in the match day squad for Groningen who lost 1-0 to Fortuna Sittard in the Dutch Eredivisie.

Belgium

Central midfielder Samuel Gueulette replaced Owen Maes in the 76th minute as his club Raal La Louviere went away to beat SK Lierse 2-1 in the Challenger Pro League.

Teenager Hakim Sahabo as well as Edoly Mateso who is of Rwandan and Congolese parentage started for SL 16 but were replaced in the 65th and 88th minutes respectively as their team drew goalless with Tournal in the Belgian third tier.

In the fourth division league, Louange Muhire started from the bench for Royal Knokke who lost 2-1 to KAA Gent B while 19-year-old centre back Jeremie Mugabo was an unused substitute for Union Namur who drew 2-2 with Union Saint Gilloise B.

Striker Glen Habimana played 62 minutes for Royale Union Hutoise in their 2-2 draw with Union Ostiches.

France

Joel Mugisha Mvuka was on the bench for the entire duration of the game as his side Lorient who are chasing promotion to the Ligue 1 recorded a pulsating 3-3 draw with Rodez in match day 10 of the French Ligue 2.

Ukraine

Amavubi skipper Djihad Bizimana bossed the midfield to perfection and saw full time action as his club FC Kryvbas beat LNZ Cherkasy 3-0.

Cyprus

Emmanuel Imanishimwe played full throttle for AEL Limassol who were held to a 1-1 draw by Larnaca.

Azerbaijan

Centre back Ange Mutsinzi had 90 minutes of action for Zira FK who drew 1-1 Araz Naxcivan.

Macedonia

Abdul Rwatubyaye played the entire duration of the game for Brera Strumica who lost 4-1 to Gostivar.

USA

In the USL, winger Jojea Kwizera found the back of the net the 82nd minute as his club Rhode Island FC humiliated Miami FC 8-1.

Defender Phanuel Kavita, who is of Rwandan and Congolese parentage played full time for Birmingham Legion who thrashed Oakland Roots 5-0.

In the third tier league, Marumo Gallants target Innocent Nshuti came in for Kempes Tekiela in the 62nd minute as his club One Knoxville FC drew 0-0 with Spokane Velocity FC.

Jojea Kwizera was on the scoring sheet for his club in the weekend.

Tunisia

Defensive midfielder Bonheur Mugisha played the entire game and found the back of the net in the 70th minute as his team Stade Tunisien beat Gabes 2-1 in the Ligue 1 on Sunday, October 28.

Mugisha’s former teammate at APR FC, Anicet Ishimwe, was not in the match day squad of Tunisian Ligue 1 leaders Olympique Beja who drew 1-1 with Club Africain. Beja are coached by former Rayon Sports coach Yamen Zelfani.

Kenya

There was no game for striker Arthur Gitego as AFC Leopards league game with Mara Sugar was postponed.

South Africa

Goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari was in the posts for Kaizer Chiefs who lost 1-0 to SuperSports United.

Tanzania

Meddie Kagere could get some minute on Monday, October 28 when Namungo FC face Pamba Jiji.
