The Confederation of African Football (Caf) has confirmed that it has overturned the one-year ban imposed on APR defender Boubakary Saddou.

The local governing body, Ferwafa received a fax from CAF indicating that they have overturned the one-year ban which was imposed on the central defender early this year.

"With this letter confirming the ban has been overturned, he (Saddou) will be free to play his club in the 2007/08 national football league,” Kazura said.

The new season starts November 17.

Kazura added that the same applied to Aloua Gaseruka and Patrick Mafisango whose six-month ban expires with the end of this month.

Saddou Boubakary was banned for a year while team-mates Gaseruka and Mafisango were both handed six-month bans for attacking a match referee during APR’s infamous MTN Africa Champions League tie against Togo’s Maranatha de Fiokpo in March.
