Muhanga kept Group B leaders Etincelles in check after Sunday’s 3-0 win over Espoir.

The result means that Etincelles, who moved to 33 points after earning default points from Mukuguwa, still hold a point lead over Muhanga.

Reports indicate that Mukuguwa missed their Etincelles tie after dropping out of the league. The minnows, who were still winless at the time, are yet to give reasons for their drop out.

In Group A, Etoile de l’Est, Interforce and Zebra all claimed wins.

Zebra pipped Nyanza 1-0 while Etoile de l’Est and Interforce registered 3-2 victories over Union and Aspej.

Group leaders Musanze play Stella Maris tomorrow as they chase their dream for top flight football. The Northern based club currently holds an eight-point cushion over their closest challengers Military.
