Rwanda international Jojea Kwizera scored for Rhode Island FC during an emphatic 8-1 victory over Miami FC on Saturday

Rwanda international Jojea Kwizera was on the score sheet as his club Rhode Island FC ran riot with an emphatic 8-1 victory over Miami FC in Saturday night’s USL week 34 fixture.

The Rwanda international made a crucial impact for his side in what was a one-sided game at Beirne Stadium.

Kwizera, who was operating on the left wing, remained a nightmare for the Miami FC defenders throughout the game during which he scored the 8th and last goal for his side in the 82nd minute finishing off a pass from his teammate Jack Panayotou. It was his third league goal so far this season.

Rhode Island finished the regular season in the 4th place on the USL league table with 51 points and a goal difference of 15 goals.

They have as a result secured qualification to the 2024 USL Championship Playoffs as they hope to make it to the Major League Soccer (MLS).
