World Food Program Rwanda (WFP) last week donated over 23 hybrid cows to 23 schools located in nine districts around the country.

The donation comes as support to the government’s initiative of providing food for education and enabling each household to have at least one cow. Further still, the schools and communities have put in place school gardens that will sustain them as they grow food.

Currently 350,000 school children in 300 schools are benefiting from this offer.
