TECNO introduced its latest smartphone series, the SPARK 30, in Rwanda on Friday, October 25, through a broadcast on public broadcaster RBA. The launch included five models, with the highlight being the SPARK 30 Series TRANSFORMERS Edition, created to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the iconic Transformers cartoon, toy, and movie series.
The SPARK 30 Series promises robust durability with a five-year lag-free performance guarantee, enhanced audiovisual experiences, and a main camera upgrade.
Licensed by Hasbro, the TRANSFORMERS Edition includes the SPARK 30 Pro Optimus Prime Edition and SPARK 30 Bumblebee Edition. Along with solid performance, these models feature classic Transformers design elements that blend entertainment and style.

TECNO has partnered with musician Juno Kizigenza as the series ambassador and MTN as the telecom provider. Buyers receive 15GB of 4G internet, with additional social packages, an 18W charging block, USB-A to USB-C cable, and wired earbuds.
The SPARK 30 Series emphasises TECNO AI, showcasing how artificial intelligence is reshaping everyday tech through enhanced information access and personalised experiences. Beyond smartphones, TECNO is branching out into business accessories, smart home systems, and gaming setups.
Certified by TÜV Rheinland, the SPARK 30 Series is equipped with a 5000mAh battery, it maintains over 80 per cent battery health after 1,000 charge cycles, while the SPARK 30 Pro’s 33W Fast Charge recharges the device from zero to full in about 70 minutes.

Storage options include up to 256GB with 16GB RAM (8GB extended), while a system optimisation feature frees additional space. The SPARK 30 Pro, powered by a MediaTek Helio G100 processor with an Antutu score exceeding 420,000, is built to handle daily tasks smoothly.
For connectivity, the SPARK 30 Series offers super Wi-Fi and a 4.5G Lightning Network for faster internet access. The 4.5G network on the SPARK 30 Pro provides download speeds up to 300Mbps, doubling the speed of 4G. With its enhanced connectivity and robust build, the SPARK 30 Series delivers solid performance with durability inspired by the strength of the TRANSFORMERS series.
The TECNO SPARK 30 Series offers a stylish and minimalist design, combining function with form. Featuring TECNO’s signature circular elements, the SPARK 30 Pro refines this look with a 7.4mm ultra-slim body, delivering a comfortable, in-hand feel. Powered by TECNO AI, the SPARK 30 Series integrates AI-driven features like AIGC portrait, AI Eraser, and AI Artboard, offering tools for both productivity and creative expression.
In addition to the SPARK 30 and SPARK 30 Pro, the lineup includes the SPARK 30C, SPARK 30 5G, and SPARK 30C 5G models. The special edition TRANSFORMERS collaboration brings added appeal with exclusive merchandise and gift sets for fans and young users alike.
