Cycling: Java-Inovotec signs Manizabayo, names Areruya assistant coach

Eric Manizabayo celebrates the victory as he won the 8th edition of Race to Remember in Kigali on Sunday April 28.

Java-Inovotec, one of the professional cycling teams in Rwanda has signed Eric Manizabayo as its new player, and named veteran rider Joseph Areruya as an assistant coach.

The team has also added to its ranks Taha Jafar, an Eritrean rider.

Manizabayo is one of the best Rwandan players, and this year, he represented the country at the Olympics in Paris.

Areruya was appointed assistant coach after announcing his retirement from riding. He is a big name in the game as he has won many tournaments including Tour du Rwanda in 2017 and La Tropicale Amissa Bongo in 2018.
