She emphasized that Golf is a great sport which brings people together and the bank is using it to make a mark at their area of operations.

"Investing in communities where we operate is a big privilege for us. We have been organizing the golf tournaments in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and others. We are bringing it here as we want to live footprints everywhere we operate,' Akimanzi said.

He also dismissed wrong perceptions from people who say that Golf is for the rich and affluent in the society, and clarified that it is a sport for all.

"The biggest investment in Golf is time, not money. There is a general assertion that Golf is for the rich which is not true. It is a total misconception. Anyone can play Golf," Kulayige explained.

The BPR Golf tournament will take place at the Kigali Golf Resort &Villas in Nyarutarama.
