Rwandan point guard Nicole Teta is among 40 African basketball young players to participate at the FIBA Africa Youth Camp in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire.

Rwandan point guard Nicole Teta is among 40 African basketball hopefuls attending the FIBA Africa Youth Camp taking place in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire.

The four-day camp, which began on Monday October 21 and closes Thursday, October 24, is part of FIBA Africa’s flagship event for training and development aimed at preparing players for rigours of future competitions.

For the present edition, the fourth since 2021, a partnership agreement between regional offices has led FIBA Africa to join forces with FIBA Americas, with the latter providing technical and educational expertise to enhance the camp's unique character.

Participants will not only receive high-level coaching but also benefit from the guidance of experts from one of the most dynamic basketball associations in the world.

Teta, 16, was part of the Rwandan team which participated at the 2023 U-16 FIBA Africa championships held in Monastir, Tunisia, where she averaged 10.8 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.3 assist per game.

An All-Star Game will see the best players go up against each other battle each other before closing the camp on the final day.
