TWO female students from Group Scolaire St. Joseph Kabgayi have been selected to represent Rwanda in the Young Reporters Training Camp (YRTC) set for July 3-12 in Singapore.

Gloriose Mukamabano, 17 and Aissa Mukamana, 18 were selected by the Rwanda National Olympic Committee (RNOC) to attend the training camp which precedes the inaugural Youth Olympic Games to be held in Singapore from August 14-26, 2010.

Mukamana and Mukamabano beat four other students in the final selection after excelling with strong language and writing skills and a basic understanding of English.

During the camp, the pair will be given the opportunity to under go professional media training conducted by leading academic institutions and media organisations in Singapore.

Singapore’s Ministry of Information, Communication and Arts (MICA) with its partners will fully sponsor the YRTC including airfare, accommodation, meals, ground and training costs.
