Players Abroad: Doyle, Mugisha on target, Ntwari keeps first clean sheet at Chiefs

Fiacre Ntwari had his first clean sheet in a Kaizer Chiefs shirt as they humiliated SuperSports United 4-0.

It was a good weekend for Rwandan players plying their trade outside the country, as a host of them put up impressive performances which contributed to their respective clubs’ results.

Kamari Doyle of Exeter City and Joel Mvuka Mugisha who is eligible to play for Rwanda at senior level were all on the score sheet.

Arthur Gitego also provided an assist in AFC Leopards’ 1-1 draw with Karibangi Sharks whereas Fiacre Ntwari kept his first clean sheet since his move to Kaizer Chiefs.

England

Doyle Kamari scored the opening goal in the ninth minute as Exeter City beat Shrewsbury Town 2-0 at the New Meadow in the English League 1. He, however, couldn't complete the game as he was taken off in the 46th minute after suffering a minor injury.

Centre back Harvey Araujo is expected to be in action on Tuesday, October 22, when his club Chesterfield host Colchester in the League 2.

Defensive midfielder Claude Kayibanda will also feature for Luton Town U21 ahead of their trip to Reading U21 on Monday, October 21.

Elsewhere, Collins Kagame replaced Matthew Fearnley in the 87th minute as Hyde United beat Workington 3-2.

Lague Byiringiro continued his bench warming exercise as he was an unused substitute for Sandviken IF who lost 4-2 to Orgyte in the Swedish Superettan League.

In the same division, Rafael York played 89 minutes for Gefle IF who were held to a 1-1 draw by Oddevold.

Centre back Torre Rafael came in for Konrad Gustafson in the 88th minute as his team Orebro Syrianka recorded a pulsating 2-2 draw with Friska Viljor.

Elsewhere, Kaleleo Wimbabazi replaced Viktor Steen in the 81st minute as Pitea IF drew 1-1 with Stocksund.

Norway

Beltran Mvuka Nishimwe was introduced in the pitch in the 91st minute as his side strugglers Sandefjord traveled to Aker Stadium to post a shocking 1-0 win over 3rd-placed Molde FK in the Norwegian Eliteserien.

Forward Josias King Furaha played 90 minutes of action in FK Jerv’s goalless draw by Nottoden while goalkeeper Clement Twizere Buhake was in the posts for Ull/Kisa who lost 4-3 to his former club Strommen.

Midfielder Emmannuel Baru Gisa played the entire match for Pors who lost 2-0 to his ex-club Fram Larvik in the Norwegian fourth tier.

Denmark

Sanders Ngabo was not in the match day squad of AC Horsens who beat Hvidovre 2-1 in the Danish second tier.

Netherlands

Winger Noam Emeran was not in the match day squad of Groningen who lost 1-0 to FC Utrecht at Euroborg Stadium on Sunday, October 20.

Samuel Gueulette was an unused substitute for Raal La Louviere who defeated Beveren 3-2 in the Challenger Pro League.

Teenager Hakim Sahabo was not in the squad of Sandard de Liege second team which lost 2-1 at the hands of RAEC Mons in the Belgian third tier league.

In the fourth tier league, Louange Muhire was an unused substitute for Royal Knokke who defeated OH Leuven B 2-0. 19-year-old centre back Jeremie Mugabo was not in the Union Namur squad which lost 2-1 to Tubize-Braine.

Striker Glen Habimana played full throttle for Royale Union Hutoise who beat Jette 1-0.

Joel Mugisha Mvuka came from the bench to score in the 70th minute as Lorient FC thrashed Annecy 4-2 in the French Ligue 2.

In the CFA, centre back Bryan Ngwabije was resolute at the heart of defense for Blois Foot who defeated Bourges 3-1.

Amavubi skipper Djihad Bizimana replaced Brazilian midfielder Matteo Amaral in the 57th minute as FC Kryvbas recorded a 1-0 away win against Zorya.

Central defender Ange Mutsinzi played full time for Zira FK who drew 1-1 with Sabah.

Abdul Rwatubyaye had 90 minutes of action for Brera Strumica who drew 1-1 with Voska Sports.

In the German 6th tier league, 20-year-old right-back Jonathan Nsanzimana played 88 minutes for FC Pullach who lost 3-1 to TSV Murnau.

Quentin Rushenguziminega played full throttle for FC Echallens who beat Monthey 1-0 in the Classica Liga.
