Editor,

Old students (OB’s and OG’s) of ESSA Nyarugunga, who were former students of the  National University of Rwanda, visited their former school with an aim of encouraging those they left behind to embrace hard work and discipline ahead of their final exams.

Afterwards, the students were very happy and encouraged to undertake their studies and pass the forth coming exams. My humble appeal is for old students in other schools to adopt the culture of visiting and encouraging those they left behind.

These youngsters face many challenges and hard situations. The fact is that the old students are rich in experiences and solutions of overcoming some of these challenges,; they should share with those they left behind and guide them prudently, this can be very helpful to their daily and academic lives.
