President Paul Kagame has sent a message of condolence to Gabon following the passing of President Bongo Ondimba.

In his message President Kagame noted that President Bongo Ondimba will be remembered for his dedicated leadership and patriotism, as well as "the strong fraternity and partnership that our two countries enjoyed”.

President Bongo, died aged 73, on Monday in a Spanish clinic where he was receiving medical treatment.
