Managers enroll for executive MBA program

A total of 28 executive officers and managers from Rwanda are currently benefiting from a Masters programme offered by a partnership, between the Private Sector Federation (PSF) and the Maastricht School of Management.

The program that is intended for Chief Executive Officers (CEO) and managers in the private sector started last year and it has had two intakes to date.

The program is aimed at improving the skills and knowledge of members, building competitiveness of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), special programs for selected youth and women entrepreneurs as well as PSF institutional and human resources strengthening.

"PSF realizes the need to equip business leaders with improved business skills to position them for the competitive environment especially in regional groupings but also internationally,” said Molly Rwigamba in charge of capacity building.

This course has offered two options to the executives which are international business to enable them engage in international business and corporate strategy and economic policy 

The conditions for this course include a class of 15 students minimum and 30 maximum, a recognized bachelor’s degree, five successful years of professional experience with a minimum of two years in management positions.

PSF successfully negotiated with Maastricht school of management to have a 14 percent discount on tuition fee from 26,120 Euros to 22,500 Euros with flexible payment arrangements of two installments.

"This MBA program is one of the cheapest and most convenient as compared to what other universities of the same standard offer.

The convenience to study at our agreed schedule considering we have businesses and companies to run is a good opportunity that needs to be exploited,” added Rwigamba.
