Kigali mayor Dr Aisa Kirabo Kacyira last week visited several children’s homes and Day Care Centres around the city. She thanked the care takers for the good work of restoring hope to the children. She paid a visit to over 10 centres which are shelters to homeless children most of whom are orphans of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.

Kacyira was particularly impressed by the progress made in keeping children together in order to offer the parental love that they were deprived fifteen years ago.

"Children need attention and parental love in order to grow into responsible citizens who do not only love their country but also live with each other in harmony,” Kacyira said.
