Editor,

I have read several articles in The New Times concerning an NGO known as Italia Solidade that has allegedly misused survivors’ funds for their personal use.

As if that wasn’t enough, one of the bosses was recently convicted for having participated in the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi.

With all the orphans that Rwanda has, its heartless for NGO’s to solicit funds from donors in the name of helping orphans and in the end not doing so.

If Italia Solidare gets judged and found guilty it will be a lesson to other double-faced people who think they will take advantage of the situation of the country and make a living through pretending to be helping Rwandans.

Instead of putting Italia Solidade to justice, the case is always being postponed. Authority should put Italia Solidare to justice before other NGO’s fall in their footsteps.

This is a serious matter worth solving.
