Wednesday, October 16, 2024

A new collaboration among Rwanda's rising artistes has taken music lovers to a whole new dimension of music with their latest single "Mix & Mingle."

Produced by Prince Kiiz, the dynamic track blends pop, dancehall, hip-hop, and R&B with a groovy beat, showcasing the diverse talents of the country's emerging artists including the likes of Mistaek, Nillan, Bruce the 1st, QD, ET, Kenny K-Shot and Lorena, the sole female artist on the track.

The project, conceived by RG Consult, is part of the preparations for the second edition of the Bralirwa Friends of Amstel Fest, scheduled for November. This initiative aligns with agency’s mission to provide platforms for rising artists, nurturing their talents and promoting their art.

"Working on this project is just the beginning of what we are yet to see in the industry. For us, it's an experience that brings together friends with common experiences, skills, or passions to create something incredible while having fun," says Remmy Lubega who pioneered the song project.

Lubega said that they are looking to introduce the young talents featured in the song to a broader audience, demonstrating their potential when given the opportunity to express their artistry.

He further notes that music enthusiasts can look forward to seeing the rising artistes performing live at a big stage on November 23rd, alongside other big music acts.

"Mix&Mingle" not only represents a milestone for these fast rising individual artistes but also highlights the vibrant and evolving music scene in Rwanda, Lubega said.
