I completely agree with Dr. David Cavallo when he said in his article, ‘Laptops and High quality education for every child’, that children learn by doing and thinking about what they do.

I agree that the foundation of educational reform starts with the younger generation. This can only happen if children are practically taught and exposed to new changes around the world through the ICT gateway.

Through the laptops provided by the One Laptop per Child (OLPC) project Rwanda’s children will learn how to do and think better.

This will in turn greatly improve creative thinking in all subjects be it in sciences or arts. Through this kind of expansive exposure on the internet, a new generation of brilliant, creative and highly innovative children will be emerge.

This for me is OLPC leading by example when they provide children with new ways of becoming practical and creative thinkers as compared to theoretical thinkers. 

This is a great and effective investment for Rwanda as a country as we move towards achieving our Vision 2020 goals in economic development and poverty reduction.
