Rwanda head coach Cheikh Sarr has named Rwandan-American point guard Antino Jackson Alvarezes in his 15-man provisional roster for the upcoming Afrobasket 2025 Qualifiers which will take place in Dakar, Senegal, from November 22-24.
Jackson, 28, moved to the local league earlier in 2024 joining REG BBC, but he recently crossed over to APR at the end of the season.
According to Sarr, the called-up players will start training on November 1.
Rwanda is pooled in Group C with Senegal, Cameroon, and Gabon.
Among other new faces in Sarr’s roster include Belgium-based Alexandre Aerts, Australia-based Kenny Manzi, and APR’s Bruno Shema.
