President Paul Kagame on Friday, October 11, met with Johan Borgstam, the European Union Special Representative for the Great Lakes Region, who began his duties this month.

The discussions, held at Village Urugwiro, focused the regional security situation, according to the President’s Office.

Borgstam, who was appointed EU envoy in the Great Lakes Region in late July, arrived in Rwanda a few days after visiting DR Congo, where he also met senior officials.
