Ijabo Slam Festival
Rwanda’s first-ever slam poetry festival is in full swing! This Friday, October 11, join in at the Francophone Cultural Centre of Rwanda from 7 PM to hear the region’s most talented young poets and slammers.
Featuring performances in both English and French, the event is a celebration of the powerful art of spoken word.
To wrap up the festival, enjoy a concert by the incredible Mighty Popo. His music is a tapestry that blends various styles, regions, and histories into one rich sound. Admission to the Ijabo Slam Festival is free, while the Mighty Popo concert costs Rwf5,000—payable by cash or card (no MoMo).
This year’s festival theme, "The Power of Words," invites you to experience the energy of poetry and celebrate young voices from the Great Lakes region.
Global Beats Night
Presented by Ma Africa and Nep DJs, this Saturday, October 12, club music fans are in for a treat at Chillax, Century Park Nyarutarama. Entry is Rwf5,000.
Global Beats Night has something for every music lover, from R&B and Hip-Hop to Afrobeat, Dancehall, and more. It’s the perfect chance to hit the dance floor, discover fresh beats, and vibe with fellow music enthusiasts. The DJ lineup includes Nep DJs, DJ Benjah, DJ Pyfo, DJ Diallo, and DJ Arthur. Doors open at 4 PM—get ready to dance the night away!
Mundi Green Fair
If you’re a gardening enthusiast, Mundi Green Fair is the place to be this weekend. Held at Mundi Center from Saturday to Sunday, October 13, this popular plant and flower market is back for its 6th edition.
Find the best selection of plants, flowers, garden accessories, and pots under one roof. The fair runs from 1 PM to 7 PM, and entry is free—come shop and explore!
Crochet Workshop
Whether you're a seasoned knitter or a beginner with a passion for crochet, this workshop is the perfect space to create, connect, and learn. Hosted by Misa, the event brings together a small, friendly group to craft and share techniques, with plenty of socializing along the way.

Strictly Soul Kigali
Africa’s biggest R&B party is making its way to Kigali this Saturday, October 12, at Atelier du Vin. Get ready to groove to timeless hits, with Akio Kawahito on the decks alongside special guest DJs Rugamba and Infinity. Doors open at 7 PM.
Tickets are priced at Rwf20,000 and Rwf25,000. By attending, guests consent to be photographed and recorded, with images and videos potentially used by Strictly Soul and its partners for promotional purposes.
BetPawa Finals
