A group of nine children at Cyobe Primary School in Ruhango District on October 2 braved heavy downpour to protect the Rwanda national flag, which was about to blown away by the winds.

One of the pupils narrated how the incident unfolded. The pupils, who are aged between 10 and 10, were recognised by the district administration and Rwanda National Police, in a ceremony held at the school on October 7.
