Rayon Sports Women FC goalkeeper Angeline Ndakimana has said that club’s 15-1 humiliating win over ES Mutunda WFC in the opening match of the 2024/25 Women&039;s topflight league is a big statement to their quest to the title defense.

The Blues ran riot over the weekend, hitting 15 past a hapless ES Mutunda WFC with Jeannine Mukandayisenga scoring five goals.

The shot stopper said they will build on the latest win as they hope to retain the title.

"Scoring 15 goals in our first league game is a big step for us. The game was not easy but we came out with a heavy win. Our aim is to build on that as the season progresses," Ndakimana told Times Sport.

"We work together as a team on the field. The target this season is to win the league title as well as the Peace Cup trophy."

Ndakimana, who also plays for Rwanda women, joined Rayon Sports WFC from city rivals AS Kigali WFC in the June 2024 transfer window.
