Rwandan youngster Claude Kayibanda had his name on the scoresheet as his club Luton Town FC U21 were thrashed 4-1 by Burnley U21 at the Kenilworth Road Stadium during the opening match of the 2024 English Premier League Cup.

The energetic central midfielder soared high above his teammate to head home a consolation goal for his side in the 94th minute.

It was Kayibanda's second goal in two games, having also found the back of the net in his side’s 2-1 friendly defeat to Oxford on September 24.

The 18-year-old was promoted to the U21 side few weeks ago after signing his first professional contract.

He is yet to be capped by Rwanda or England at any international level.
