Gorilla FC head coach Alain Kirasa has vowed to compete for the league title, saying his team is not a mere participant in the country’s topflight.

The Nyamirambo-based club is currently in second position on the league table with 10 points, having secured five wins and one draw in their first five league games.

"I expect this season to be more competitive with around five teams having a chance to win it. My team is in that mix. I think we have better players than last season,” Kirasa said.

"There are still a lot of games to play. We want to do better in every game ahead of us, and that is possible if we believe in ourselves and keep on working hard,” he added.
