RTTA officially launched their website which will help members observe the highest standards of professional ethics

Rwanda Tours and Travel Association (RTTA), was on Wednesday officially launched at Serena Hotel in Kigali. The association is comprised of 35 members who are the industry leaders in the tours and travel industry.

The members also represent a wide spectrum of travel and vacation packages available in Rwanda. According to the President of RTTA, Edwin Sabuhoro, "RTTA’s mission is to uphold ethical business practices among our members while ensuring sustainable development of the tourism industry in Rwanda.”

"Our vision is to preserve and protect our heritage and environment through integrated tourism development in Rwanda by bringing together all these members,” Sabuhoro said.

RTTA members are connected to a vast business network that spans the tourism and travel industry globally.

”Membership is your connection to the packaged tourism and travel industry providing member companies with the tools needed to learn, link, network and grow,” Sabuhoro said.

Sabuhoro also added that the founding members recognised the need to create awareness of Rwanda as a competent tourism destination as well as represent the interests of the national tours and travel industry.

Also at the launch, RTTA officially launched their website which will help members observe the highest standards of professional ethics and offer personalized services to Rwanda and the East African region.

The president added that RTTA’s main objective is to develop mechanisms for unification and loyalty of tour operators and travel agent’s interests in a dynamic and effective way.

"We also want to ensure the representation of the tour operators and travel agents in the partnership between private, public sectors as well as Non Governmental Organisation,” Sabuhoro explained.

RTTA was founded in the year 2000 by a small group of Rwandan Tours & Travel operators concerned about the quality of tourism services in the country but their membership has grown rapidly since then.
