Tanzanian topflight side Azam FC are still chasing the services of Police FC centre back Issah Yakubu and hope to sign him during the January 2025 transfer window.
Yakubu, 26, was on Azam radar during the June 2024 transfer window and an initial approach was made. However, the deal could not go through and he ended up signing for Police.
The Tanzanian powerhouse has been struggling at the back and the club management is eager make yet another move for the Ghanaian center back in the January transfer window to solidify their backline.
Police FC acquired Yakubu from Malian giants Stade Malien for a reported fee of Rwf 20 million ($15,000) and Azam could double the amount to swoop for him.
He has been a pillar at the back of the law enforcers as the club is yet to concede a goal in the four league games he has played this season.
Yakubu previously played for Ghana Premier League side Dreams FC and Ivorian outfit ES Bafing.
