The battle for second place in the national rugby league is on this afternoon when Sharks host UNR Grizzlies at Rugunga grounds.

Sharks have been in formidable form this season posting the highest score in league history after a comprehesive120-0 victory over Simba.

However, they are in for a stern test today against a Grizzlies side itching to close in on table leaders and reigning champions Buffaloes.

According to the varsity side’s coach Alphonse Umugire, they have prepared well for today’s clash and should get the result they need.

"We have had rigorous training in the build up to this game because we know that a win here will help us close in on Buffaloes,” Umugire said.

Grizzlies finished fourth last season behind Buffaloes, Kaduha Tigers and Gorillas.

Buffaloes on the other hand will get a walk over and free points for that matter because their opponents (Kaduha Tigers) pulled out of the League.

Buffaloes are at the helm of the league table with 14 points, followed by Grizzlies and Sharks respectively.
