Playoffs semi-finals
Game3
APR 86-45 Marie Reine (APR win series 3-0)
REG 70-56 Kepler (REG win series 3-0)
Rivals APR and Rwanda Energy Group (REG) women basketball clubs are again set to lock horns in the women’s basketball league finals which commence on Friday, October 4 at Petit Stade.
In 2023, APR lifted the championship after edging REG 62-61 in Game 5 to win the best-of-seven finals series 4-1.
This season, REG reached the finals after sweeping Kepler 3-0 in the best of five semi-finals, while APR rejoined their old foes after brushed Groupe Scolaire Marie Reine de Rwaza aside in a similar win record.
Captain Charlotte Umugwaneza scored a game high 19 points and made 20 rebounds to help the military side beat Marie Reine 86-45 in Game 3 to complete a clean sweep on Wednesday night.

"Every game matters in the series, and a good start matters. We are going into Game 1 aiming for a positive beginning. We beat REG in last year’s finals, and we can do it again," she said.
"We just need to have a winning mentality and mean serious business like we did during the 2023/24 season,” she added.
