Vision FC head coach Calum Shaun Selby is eager to derive lots of positives from his side’s 0-0 draw against Police FC in the Rwanda Premier League.
The topflight newcomers recorded their second draw of the season against Vincent Mashami’s table leaders at Kigali Pele Stadium on Monday, September 30, in a match that was played within two days due to downpour.
Reacting on Monday’s draw, Selby praised his side for living up to expectations and he is now looking forward to building on the result when the league resumes after the international break.
"It was a good game and there are many positive things for us. We can build on this good performance and go all out in the remaining games," the English gaffer told Times Sport.
"In general, both teams were evenly matched on the field. I feel if the game had not been postponed because of the rain, we could have won because we were creating good chances."
"We were able to hold Police who have scored 7 goals in two games against Muhazi United and Kiyovu SC very well. We limited them to just a few chances," he added.
Selby further stressed that his plan worked to perfection as his charges adapted to his compact approach and didn&039;t leave spaces for in-form striker Elijah Ani and Burundian midfielder Bigirimana to move freely.
"We were well organized out of possession, offensively, in the first half, we created many clear cut chances. However, we need to start burying them we get," he explained.
Vision FC, are 15th in the table with 2 points from 5 games. They will next face AS Kigali on October 21 at Kigali Pele Stadium.
