The September edition showcased local talent while providing a platform for business networking among attendees.
Due to the Umuganda national community service activities, the tournament kicked off in the afternoon, with 37 teams of four players each competing over 18 holes.
Participants, both seasoned players and emerging talents, battled for top honors in a contest that demonstrated not only skill but also BK&039;s growing role in advancing golf in Rwanda.
BK’s Chief of Business and Corporate Solutions, Levi Gasangwa, commended players and partners’ continued support while also emphasizing the bank’s commitment to supporting golf in various aspects.
Gasangwa said, "This tournament is not just about competing; it’s about fostering a sense of community and advancing the sport we are passionate about."
Kigali Golf Club Captain, Andrew Kulayigye, also highlighted the significance of the event, and hailed BK’s consistency in organising the tournament which has been a great boost for the club and players.
"It has created more opportunities for us to grow and enjoy the game," he added.
The day saw several standout performances, with top players receiving accolades in both men’s and women’s categories.
In the women’s category, Han Jing, Jolly Byoleko, Media Muvuna, Lynda Mugeni, and Mary Mwangi took home the prizes, while in the men’s division, Kamanzi Louis, Iratanga Anthère, Joshua Sacks, Stephen Rwabika, Chulu Ostin, Darlington Kabatende, Shakir Wasim, and Félicien Muvunyi emerged top performers.
