I am constrained not to completely forthright about my opinion of an article that was penned in The New Times by Kevin Odobo on the Migingo Island saga.

Mind you, I do not support the nonsensical hype being drummed up by the political class in Kenya and Uganda, and I firmly believe that diplomacy works. 

But I find your attributing this to the "Political Situation” in Kenya to be rather simplistic.

You have clearly failed to delve in the pronouncements and actions of the various players to this senseless drama, as to make the ludicrous statements you have penned; purporting to champion the lot of the "poor’ Kenyans and Ugandans is simply offensive in real terms.

Your article displays unsurprising ignorance, and poses questions that make little sense by their direction and content. Equally troubling is that the writer has the temerity to lecture Kenyans and Uganda on the "wisdom” of exercising diplomacy and restraint.

What a "brother” needs during times of distress is advice given without such sanctimonious pontification as your article contains, and which only profanes whatever advice given
While we might not all agree with each other all the time, collective responsibility to each other demands that criticism and censure be tempered with fairness and balance.
