Rwandan author John Rusimbi has launched his second novel, ‘The Hyena’s Wedding’, in the United Kingdom. The book is about the 1994 Rwanda Genocide.

Rusimbi who is a former youth MP and currently Public Relations Officer of the Rwanda Demobilisation Reintegration Commission (RDRC) unveiled the book over the weekend.
"My second novel talks about the consequences of the 1994 Genocide and the struggle of Rwandan survivors to heal from their wounds and rebuild their country,” Rusimbi told The New Times before departure last week.
His first novel, ‘By The Time She Returns’, talks about refugees and their experiences following the Genocide.
The Hyena’s Wedding is being sold at 9.5 pounds (about Frw10, 000).
Both novels have been published by the UK-based Junus Publishing Company, the former youth parliamentarian said.
While in the UK, Rusimbi will also present papers on topical issues such as e reintegration and mobilisation of youths in the Great Lakes Region, the history of the 1994 Genocide and the refugee crisis at Edinburgh, Oxford and CambridgeUniversities and the National Forum of Ireland.
