As the curtains fell on the 2024 Rwanda Basketball League (RBL) campaign, players, and team alike, recorded some interesting statistics which are worth noting.
Times Sport presents to you some important numbers that shaped the just-concluded 2024 season.
15: APR won their 15th championship, after a thrilling 4-2 series against long-standing rivals Patriots. The army side pulled off a powerful performance managing to retain the trophy.
The 2024 ring joined the club’s trophy collection which included championships of 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2009 and 2023.
2557: the number of points that APR scored throughout the 2024 Rwanda Basketball League season, making them the highest-scoring team in the league.

Having made major trades of star guard Isaiah Miller, Malian center Aliou Diarra going into playoffs, the army side relied on the two top boys on the floor thanks to their high scoring rate especially during the playoffs.
The duo put up big numbers in terms of scoring that drove the team to the title.
Among other teams that scored many points, Patriots netted 2249 points, Rwanda Energy Group (REG) scored 2027 while Kepler registered 1784 points.
410: Kepler point guard Chad Bowie Jordan finished the 2024 season as the league top scorer with 410 points. The 28-year-old is surely one of the revelations of this season, having outscored some of the household names in the league.
Bowie was also named the Most Valuable Player of the regular season after registering 410 Points, 62 steals, 3rd place in 3 points, and 3rd in 2 points made.
210: Congolese center Pitchou Manga was the king of defense, finishing the season with 210 rebounds.
Manga, who plies his traded at Rwanda Energy Group (REG), stands out as the man whose weight is felt in the paint, both defensively and offensively. He did a great job despite the fact that his team lost the championship to eventual winners APR.
64: Patriots small forward Dieudonné Ndizeye registered the highest number of three-pointers, making 64 in the entire season.
Fabrice Muhoza who featured for Espoir was celebrated as the Most Improved Player after a season of 13 assists, 59 blocks, 113 points and 109 rebounds.
