The National Amputee Football Team captain, Fidele Gatete, and central defender Patrick Imanirutabyose have joined Pendik Belediyesi, a club that plays in the first division of the Turkish league.

They left Rwanda on October 23, and have already participated in their first training session with their new teammates.

Gatete, who is currently the captain of the national team, featured for Musanze at club level while Imanarutabyose played for Rubavu.

According to Gatete, they started negotiations to join the club when they were in the CECAFA tournament held in Tanzania, which was won by Rwanda. Pendik Belediyesi finished sixth out of 14 teams in the Turkish top division last season.
