Ugandan international midfielder Taddeo Lwanga has insisted that APR FC is in position to overcome Egyptian giants Pyramids FC and advance to the CAF Champions League group stage.

The two teams played out to a 1-1 draw in Kigali on September 14. Now, as they embark on the second leg that will be played in Cairo on Saturday, September 21, Lwanga is optimistic for a victory.
"We have a lot of work to do. The results we got here were not enough. We have to increase our efforts in the second leg,” he said.
"Nothing is impossible in football. The game is played on the field, each of us wants to get a good result, so we will be ready,” he added.

The midfielder stressed the importance of following their coach’s instructions, not that they have tried to prepare well for the game.
The decisive second leg will take place at Cairo International Stadium, where APR FC will fight for a chance to advance to the group stages.
APR FC earned their spot in this round by defeating Azam FC 2-1 on aggregate in the preliminary round.
