EASTERN PROVINCE

Nyagatare—Milk consumers in Rwanda have been given a reason to smile, as milk prices have begun to slide in major markets.

Prices in Nyagatare recently fell for the product from Frw150 to Frw130.

Chairman of Udamaco Augustine Katabarwa confirmed the fall of milk prices and revealed that "price changes is not constant, any time price may continue to go down or hike up.”

The change in milk prices is caused by heavy rains received in grazing areas. Any slight increase in rain prices are likely to drop and during the dry season prices will hike.
