With the first phase of the second division over, Musanze football club need a few more wins to guarantee a place in the top flight division next season.
The Northern Province club host ISAE Busogo this afternoon at Ubworoherane stadium looking for a win that will edge them closer to promotion.
They are three points clear at the top of Group A with 20 points, followed by Nyanza with 17 points and Aspej with 16 points.
Musanze coach Rafiki Nshimiyimana told Times Sport that he is not prepared to lose the chance of taking his team to the first division for the first time.
"This club’s ambition has always been to play in the top flight division. We are not prepared to back down on that. We want to play with the likes of APR, Atraco and Rayon Sport in the league.
My players would take a lot of inspiration by playing against Jimmy Gatete, Haruna Niyonzima, Abdul Uwimana, Bogota Lambana and many others,” noted the rookie coach.
Although Nshimiyimana will be without his two first team defenders; Olivier Ndayishimiye and Emmanuel Muwahimana, who are suspended for the tie, he is confident of taking all three points.
Meanwhile, Group B leaders Etincelles host Muhanga today looking to increase their chances of promotion.
Etincelles lead Group B with 24 points followed by Gisovu with 17 points.
