Rayon Sports FC vs Vipers (Kigali Stadium)
Rayon Sports will play a friendly match against Uganda’s Vipers on Monday evening at Kigali stadium as they prepare for the Rwanda Premier League, which is slated to start on August 19.
The Ugandan champions are in Kigali for a training camp.
Rayon Sports spokesperson Jean-Paul Nkurunziza said that they will play a warm-up match against Vipers in preparation for the new season and also celebrate ‘Rayon Sports day” which will be held on August, 15.
Rayon Sports and APR have already played a couple of pre-season friendlies as they prepare for the new league season.
"This is a good opportunity, especially for new players. Playing against one of the best teams in the Uganda is good as we try to get back to regular playing rhythm ahead of the tough matches we have ahead,” Coach Francis Christian Haringingo said.
The Blues finished in fourth place last seasone, 18 points behind champions APR, who also knocked them out of the Peace Cup.
